BUFFALO, N.Y. — The 2025 Ride for Roswell hit an incredible milestone: 30 years supporting Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. This fundraising event, presented by West Herr Automotive Group, has grown into a staple in the Western New York community, and one of the largest fundraising events in the country. This year’s Ride for Roswell broke a new fundraising record of $6.1 million, bringing the event's 30-year total to more than $86 million.

More than 7,000 riders, 1,500 volunteers and 775 teams took part in this year’s event, held on June 27 and 28 at the University at Buffalo’s North Campus.

In honor of this milestone year, Ride for Roswell founder, Mitch Flynn, lit the torch during the Friday evening program, Celebration of Hope.

“I love the idea of the torch and all that it stands for — hope for everyone who’s going through or gone through a cancer experience, the passion behind research at Roswell, and the way it captures the life-changing spirit of the Ride,” explained Mitch. “I was honored and humbled to play this part in one of the Ride’s most powerful moments.”

Proceeds from Ride for Roswell benefit cancer research, clinical trials and patient-care programs at Roswell Park. Learn more about 30 years of impact here.

“Because of Ride for Roswell, millions of dollars have been raised for critical cancer research and patient care programs,” said Dr. Candace Johnson, President and CEO of Roswell Park. “The Ride Community’s hard work is making a difference in the lives of thousands of individuals. This fundraising is what drives clinical trials, quality-of-life programs and more.”

Riders had nine routes to choose from, including one through Canada. The routes ranged from four to 100 miles and each rider raised at least $200 to participate.

Mark your calendars for next year’s Ride for Roswell: Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27, 2026.
