Sayonara! Adios! Auf wiedersehen! Kwaheri!

No matter how you say it, it’s time to bid farewell to the familiar Roswell Park “green card” that you used to present when checking in for a clinic appointment, blood draw or medical imaging. Starting May 1, you’ll need to provide just your name and date of birth.

You won’t even need your patient medical record number (MRN) at check-in. (However, if you need that number for other reasons, you can find it by logging on to the patient portal or on your printed patient itinerary.

Shirley Johnson, MBA, MS, RN, NEA-BC, Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Operations Officer, says ditching the green card is “a positive step toward eliminating paper processes and streamlining the journey for our patients.”
