Nutrition services
Optimizing your nutrition is an important part of your cancer care, especially for patients with esophageal cancer. Your ability to eat, swallow and process food may have changed temporarily or permanently. Our dietitians are integral members of your healthcare team and uniquely experienced in working with cancer patients to improve nutrition status before, during and after cancer treatment. Our team can help you meet vital nutrient needs to maintain strength, energy and prevent loss of muscle mass; improve your tolerance of your treatments; and promote healing to assist recovery and reduce infection risk.

The 11 Day Power Play Cancer Resource Center
The Resource Center is a calm, welcoming place where patients and their families can find information, comfort and connection, in addition to educational classes, support groups and guidance in navigating hair loss, throughout their cancer journeys. New Era Cap Foundation Elevate Salon
We are pleased to offer our complimentary Wig and Head Covering Program at the Elevate Salon for our patients and patients in the Western New York area undergoing cancer treatment and experiencing hair loss. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 716-845-8659, option 2.

Assessment & Treatment Center (ATC)
This center provides medical evaluation and treatment to our current patients with urgent, but not life-threatening, symptoms. The ATC is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ATC is not an emergency room and does not accept walk-ins; you must be referred by your Roswell Park physician or the physician-on-call.
Tobacco Cessation
Smoke-free cancer patients feel better during and after treatment and have a better chance of recovery. If you are a tobacco user, whether you are ready to quit or just thinking about it, we can help. Our tobacco treatment specialists will create a personal treatment plan to help you increase your confidence and motivation to quit tobacco. Supportive & Palliative Care
Our Supportive & Palliative Care program provides essential support and symptom management to patients facing difficult pain, nausea, poor sleep, or anxiety related to cancer and its treatment, or who may be feeling overwhelmed or don't have the support they need to get through their treatment. Our team will take the time to listen to you, assess your symptoms and provide a way forward to relieve pain and other symptoms, improve quality of life and ease emotional distress and anxiety.
Survivorship care
We want to help you make life after cancer the best it can be! Our survivorship team can help you build a plan that is specific to you and your journey, creating a clear map for the road ahead.
