Patient Remembrance Service

The Department of Spiritual Care coordinates three Remembrance Services each year. Two services, Fall and Spring celebrates the lives of individuals touched by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Spring service commemorates those individuals who died July to December of the previous year. The Fall service commemorates those individuals who have died January to June of the current year. The third service, in conjunction with the Pediatric staff, celebrates the children who have been patients at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

These interfaith memorial services celebrate the lives of individuals touched by Roswell Park. Family members, friends and colleagues gather for a beautiful service that honors the lives of so many who have been touched by cancer. The evening is filled with song, prayer and the message of hope. Over the past ten years, the Remembrance Services have been a comfort and aid to community-building. Each service is video-taped and a DVD is sent to families who attended the service.

Just wanted to thank you for the beautiful video you put together. Let everyone who was involved in putting together the service what a great job they did. Together with others who unfortunately have also lost a loved one was almost like realizing that we are not alone in our grief.
