Eunice Wang, MD
Dr. Eunice Wang is a world-renowned cancer scientist specializing in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), with more than 440 publications and numerous clinical trials.
In addition to serving as chief of the Leukemia Service at Roswell Park, she’s also medical director of Infusion Services, manages the Hematologic Procurement Shared Resource, and maintains an active clinical practice.
Amanda Przespolewski, DO
Dr. Przespolewski joined Roswell Park’s Leukemia Service in 2017, treating patients with malignant and non-malignant blood disorders.
She earned her doctorate from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Penn., and completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Hematology & Medical Oncology with the University at Buffalo.
Her research interests include early phase clinical trials for high-risk myeloid malignancies. Her translational work focuses on understanding how leukemic blasts modulate the local immune system to evade detection, and therefore identifying new therapeutic targets.
Marianna Giorgi
Research Associate/Lab Manager
Marianna earned her BE in Biomedical Engineering, with a specialization in Cellular & Molecular Biology, from Stony Brook University in 2018.
She joined the lab in 2019 and has since been working with PARP inhibitors, treating AML in vitro and in vivo with novel synergistic combinations alongside clinically used reagents.
Hannah Fay
Pre-Doctoral Trainee
Hannah received her BS in Microbiology from the University of Montana in 2017. She is a 5th year PhD candidate in the Tumor Immunology track of Roswell Park’s Graduate Program in Cancer Sciences. Hannah studies the reliance of leukemia stem cells on autophagy for survival within the hypoxic bone marrow microenvironment and how this can be therapeutically exploited to prevent relapse in AML patients.
