Roswell Park Earns Spot on National "Best Places to Work" Ranking

BUFFALO, NY — America’s first comprehensive cancer center was recognized this week as one of the Best Places to Work in Academia.

In the annual Best Places to Work in Academia survey published by the monthly magazine The Scientist, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center was ranked 24th overall, based on a survey of 2,302 qualified respondents.

“We’re extremely proud of the progress made at Roswell Park in so many areas, and this inclusion on The Scientist’s Best Places to Work listing is another reflection of that progress — and the excellence that characterizes Roswell Park — in science, clinical care and education,” said Donald L. Trump, MD, FACP, President and CEO of Roswell Park. “Establishing a productive and fulfilling working environment for more than 3,000 employees doesn’t happen by accident. Employee satisfaction affects every facet of our operations and impacts the experience of every patient and family served, so we’ve made it a real priority.”

Survey respondents gave Roswell Park high marks in areas including job satisfaction and compensation levels, reports The Scientist.

An article on the 2010 survey findings appears in the July issue of The Scientist. For more information, go to http://www.the-scientist.com/bptw.
