Valentine’s Day Chocolates and Gifts Available from The Paint Box Project®

Treat your loved ones to gifts that support Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BUFFALO, NY The Paint Box Project® at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has announced the launch of its first-ever Valentine’s Day Chocolate & Gift Sale. The packaging of each item features original artwork by Roswell Park’s pediatric patient-artists and their siblings.

All chocolates sold through The Paint Box Project are made right in Buffalo at Choco-Logo, the downtown Buffalo chocolate factory that has been the sole vendor of sweets for the Project since 2005. Customers will be familiar with the Almond Pecan Nutcorn, available in the 12 oz. size ($13 plus tax). New treats added specifically for this campaign include: Black Cherry Bark (swirls of dark and milk chocolate with dried sweet and sour cherries and toasted almonds - $12.50 plus tax) and Hot Hearts (dark chocolate raspberry habanero truffle hearts - $10 plus tax).

In addition to these delicacies, The Paint Box Project is offering a special online-only chocolate gift item, the Valentine’s Day Chocolate Tower. This delicious tower of treats includes: 12 oz. Almond Pecan Nutcorn, 10 oz. Black Cherry Bark and four Hot Hearts for just $35.

Jennifer Prince Bronstein, Art Committee Chair and member of the Roswell Park Alliance Community Advisory Board, says that these items are the perfect gifts for sweethearts, parents and friends.

“We’re so grateful for the community’s support during the holidays and now ask for continued help to fund needed cancer research and patient programs,” said Bronstein. “We’re also proud to bring back our Hope for a Cure Teddy Bears for the Valentine’s collection—a loveable addition to any of our chocolate treats.”

Other gift items available from The Paint Box Project this Valentine’s Day include the Hopeful Hearts Apron (for the kitchen or the garden), a cute heart-adorned notepad and the beautifully designed Everyday Note Card Variety Pack, featuring five different designs.

All Valentine’s Day items from The Paint Box Project are available for purchase online at www.PaintBoxProject.com now through February 14. All chocolates (except the chocolate tower) and gifts are also available in the Roswell Park Gift Shop from Monday, February 2 through Friday, February 13. For details, please call 1-800-959-5931 or 716-845-8119.

The Paint Box Project® is a unique program that uses the healing power of art to help young cancer patients and their families express themselves during and after cancer treatment. Created in 1990 by the volunteers of the Roswell Park Alliance Community Advisory Board, the Project hosts art parties where children create original designs that are featured on holiday and all-occasion cards and gifts. All proceeds from the sale of items from The Paint Box Project benefit the most promising cancer research and compassionate patient care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
