Roswell Park Alliance Foundation Earns Highest Possible Rating of Four Stars From Charity Navigator
The Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that manages all donations made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, has received the ranking of 4 out of 4 stars from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. This is the fourth consecutive time that the Alliance Foundation has earned this top distinction.
This is Charity Navigator’s highest possible rating and indicates that the Alliance Foundation adheres to sector best practices, exceeds industry standards, executes its mission in a financially efficient way and outperforms most charities in its area of work.
Only 14% of the charities Charity Navigator evaluates have received four or more consecutive 4-star evaluations. This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets the Alliance Foundation apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.
Since 2002, using objective analysis, Charity Navigator has awarded only the most fiscally responsible organizations a 4-star rating, revealing which charities operate in accordance with industry best practices and whether they are open with their donors and stakeholders.
“The Roswell Park Alliance Foundation’s exceptional 4-star rating sets it apart from its peers and demonstrates its trustworthiness to the public,” says Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. “Only a quarter of charities rated by Charity Navigator receive the distinction of our 4-star rating. This adds the Alliance Foundation to a preeminent group of charities working to overcome our world’s most pressing challenges. Based on its 4-star rating, people can trust that their donations are going to a financially responsible and ethical charity when they decide to support Roswell Park.”
Donations to the Alliance Foundation come from many generous community supporters and sources, including individual and corporate gifts made to high-profile events such as The Ride For Roswell and the Empire State Ride; Team Roswell activities; Goin’ Bald for Bucks fundraisers; and the Herd of Hope campaign.
