If you’ll be at Roswell Park’s main campus in Buffalo this summer, be sure to stop in to the Art Heals Gallery to see the new show titled, "Hallwalls Founding Artists From the Gerald Mead Collection."
When: June 2-August 28, 2025, Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organized to coincide with the 50th anniversary celebration of Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center in Buffalo, this exhibition consists of 18 works in all media, by seven artists who founded Hallways, the legendary art organization, in 1974. The artists, Diane Bertolo, Charles Clough, Nancy Dwyer, Robert Longo, Larry Lundy, Cindy Sherman and Michael Zwack, went on to achieve national and international acclaim through their exhibitions and inclusion in prominent museum collections. Likewise, Hallwalls, the vital center for contemporary art they founded, has garnered national attention.
Gerald Mead is an award-winning artist and educator, arts writer and leading authority on WNY art. He is currently an independent curator and has assembled a private collection of more than 1,900 artworks by artists associated with this region by birth or residency.
