The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) plays a vital role in shaping hospital programs and policies with patients’ best interests at the forefront. The council is co-facilitated by Kara Eaton, Executive Director of Patient and Family Experience, and Richard Satterwhite, Patient Engagement Specialist, and is now accepting applications for new members.

PFAC has advised Roswell Park on several key initiatives, including:

  • Creation of a new a chemotherapy chair with user-friendly features like an arm to hold an iPad or tablet, USB ports, and a snack tray, etc.
  • The Chemotherapy Education Guide for patients
  • Safety concerns in the drop-off circle at the front entrance
