Employing a multidisciplinary approach, the laboratory utilizes ex vivo co-culture systems of tumor and immune cells, syngeneic and humanized mouse models, CRISPR screening, scRNA seq, spatial biology imaging and bioinformatics to identify critical regulators that contribute to the tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment during tumor progression, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance. Successful candidates will lead independent research projects dedicated to the development of new mechanism-based therapeutics for ovarian and prostate cancer. The research is well-supported by multiple grants from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and private foundations.
