Open enrollment for Medicare Advantage plans ends December 7

Health insurance companies have rolled out many changes in their health plans for 2026, leaving patients with questions about whether their current plan still fits their needs — especially for cancer care at Roswell Park. 

You have the option now to choose or switch to a plan that covers cancer care here at Roswell Park. This is known as open enrollment season. Make sure you check your coverage — and switch if needed — before open enrollment ends December 7. 

We know this is stressful and confusing, but we are here to help. If you are a Roswell Park patient and have a Medicare Advantage health insurance plan, here’s what you need to do:

Look at your health insurance plan for 2026 — or any other plan that you’re considering — to check whether Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is in-network. You can do this by giving us a call at 716-845-8760 or visit RoswellPark.org/Medicare.

What if I have Independent Health?

Beginning Jan. 1, Roswell Park and our Roswell Park Care Network community practices will no longer be in-network for Independent Health’s individual Medicare Advantage plans. This applies only to Independent Health’s individual Medicare plans — Roswell Park remains in-network with all Independent Health commercial and group retiree plans.
