Dr. Rodney Haring presents to the 2022 Alaska Indigenous Research Program at Alaska Pacific University.

In May, Dr. Rodney Haring traveled to Dena’ina land to serve as the keynote speaker at the 2022 Alaska Indigenous Research Program, which took place at Alaska Pacific University. The goal of the program is to increase health research capacity of Alaska Native and American Indian individuals and communities through cross-cultural research education. The three-week program included presentations and speakers who share their knowledge and perspectives on research with and for Indigenous communities. Dr. Haring’s address discussed efforts in expanding Indigenous research protocols, including pandemic genomics, sovereignty, and data user agreements.
