Biography
As the Young Adult Program Coordinator at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, I design and implement a range of diversionary and psychosocial programs for young adult patients who have been diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. In this role, I also collaborate closely with the young adult care team to enhance the overall patient experience—focusing on and prioritizing the whole person.
My background is in Developmental Psychology, and I began my career in education. However, several personal experiences with the healthcare system, combined with my academic training, inspired me to transition into a role where I could support patients more directly. I have been deeply involved in advocacy work related to both childhood and young adult cancers, as well as chronic illness. This has included partnering with various organizations across Western New York and the U.S. to promote policy change, raise awareness, and support research efforts.
Over the years, I have developed a strong passion for improving the patient experience and championing patient-centered care in all aspects of my work.
