Biography

I’m Dr. Nicholas Russo, a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained pain medicine physician dedicated to a cancer-free tomorrow and high quality of life. At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, I provide expert anesthetic care for patients undergoing surgery and cancer treatments, as well as offer interventional and non-interventional therapies for chronic pain. My expertise includes intrathecal targeted drug delivery, peripheral nerve blocks, kyphoplasty, and other leading-edge procedures.

My training includes an anesthesiology residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo and a pain medicine fellowship at the University of Chicago, where I served as Chief Fellow. I’ve authored book chapters, contributed to national societies, and presented at leading medical conferences.

Beyond my clinical work, I’m passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians, as well as advancing research that improves patient outcomes. My goal is simple: to combine innovation, precision, and compassion to help every patient on their path to recovery.
