Kimberly Sweeney, RN, BN, MBA

Vice President of Patient Experience

Biography

After spending more than two decades as a nurse for patients at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, working in various departments and teams including the ICU, transplant and Leukemia Research, in 2023 I was named Vice President of Patient Care Experience. In this capacity, I work to ensure patients coming to Roswell Park from Western New York, across the state and around the world are properly navigated to the care they need and have the resources they require when going through treatment.

By forming close partnerships with our first responders, we have established critical outreach programs to ensure that they have access to the high-risk cancer care and screenings they and their families need.  In recognition for this work, I have twice been the recipient of the New York State Trooper Stetson Award.

With a focus on patient care, I work closely with hospital leadership to research, develop, implement and support initiatives to improve patient and caregiver experience while overseeing patient advocacy and access.

To continue supporting patients and their families, I also oversee The 11 Day Power Play Resource Center, the New Era Cap Foundation Elevate Salon, the Courage of Carly fund for our youngest patients and their families and our Medical Concierge service.
