The laboratory of Dr. Marco Davila in the Department of Medicine is looking for a postdoctoral candidate to work on a research project aiming to generate novel chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells specifically targeted to antigens for the treatment of cancer. The specific research project involves the usage and identification of antigens for targeted cell therapies, CAR design, and experimental models to validate antitumor capacity. The selected individual will perform studies using in vitro models to validate and enhance the ability of CAR T cells to be used as effective cell therapy. The experiments will also involve the analyses of immune cell functions and mouse models of cancer. The candidate will be involved in preparing scientific manuscripts and grant applications, with the expectation of developing first-author papers and contributing (as a co-author) to papers of other team members.
