Biography
I received a BA in Media Study (with High Distinction) at SUNY Buffalo and an MFA in Art Studio from the University of California Santa Barbara. I worked for over a decade as an Audio-Visual Supervisor at UCLA where I helped produce hundreds of concerts, performances, screenings, and media art installations. Before arriving at Roswell Park, I worked as a Mental Health Therapy Aide at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center.
As an independent video-maker, my documentaries have been broadcast on multiple PBS affiliates, nationally in the U.K., and theatrically in New York City. As a community media activist, I was a member of City of Buffalo's Cable Television Advisory Board. I helped co-found Buffalo's Squeaky Wheel, a film & media art center that continues to provide education, equipment access, and exhibition programming dedicated to exploring film & digital media arts.
