2023 Pharmacy Oncology Symposium

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is pleased to present the 2023 Pharmacy Oncology Symposium, an educational activity designed to update pharmacists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants on recent developments in cancer treatments, including oral chemotherapy and supportive care.

Educational objectives

Following this program, prescribers and pharmacists will be able to:

  • Recognize recent advancements in thoracic cancer treatment.
  • Discuss the role of medication-use safety pharmacists (MSPs) and review the need for this role in hospital settings.
  • Identify treatment updates in chimeric antigen receptor therapies (CAR-T).
  • Describe recent medical management updates for gastrointestinal cancers.

*Roswell Park employees may attend on-site CME events free of charge. However, a fee of $25 may be charged to all employees who do not show for a registered event and failed to cancel their registration at least 48 hours prior to the event.

Accreditation

The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. “2023 Pharmacy Oncology Symposium”, a knowledge-based activity, has been assigned   
ACPE# 0044-9999-22-032-L01-P, and will award 4 contact hours (0.4 ceus.) of live continuing pharmacy education credit. No partial credit will be awarded.

AANP credit will not be offered for this activity.

Directions and Parking

The Research Studies Center is located across the street from the hospital building on Elm & Carlton Streets. Enter the building from Carlton Street. Complimentary parking is available in the hospital parking ramp on Elm & Carlton; obtain a QR validation card from the registration desk to enable you to exit the ramp for free. You do not need to bring your parking ticket to the registration desk. Metered parking is available on the street. Look for the payment kiosks along Elm & Virginia Streets.
