Biography

I joined the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as an Assistant Professor of Oncology in April 2025.

I completed my postdoctoral fellowship, funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research, at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute in Ottawa, Canada, after earning my PhD in Biostatistics from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Prior to joining Roswell Park, I worked as a Biostatistician at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, and held an affiliated status-only Assistant Professor in Biostatistics at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto.

As a methodologist, I specialize in the design and analysis of clinical trials across diverse fields, including cancer research, emergency medicine, psychology, preventive care, and implementation science. My methodological research focuses on developing advanced statistical approaches for more efficient clinical trials. I have expertise in stepped-wedge cluster randomized trials and Bayesian trials. Additionally, my statistical work mainly addresses the complexities of analyzing longitudinal and clustered data, especially in scenarios with small sample sizes or mis-specified correlation structures. Beyond methodology, I collaborate closely with clinical scientists on various projects, providing statistical expertise and supporting grant applications for clinical trials.
