Biography

Hi, I’m Vasanthan. I’ve been told my name means ‘spring season’ in Sanskrit. I’m currently a PGY-5 Medical Oncology fellow at Roswell Park. I’ve been passionate about oncology since medical school, and I feel grateful that my career path has beautifully aligned to bring me to this incredible institution.

During my residency, I had the opportunity to complete clinical rotations at Roswell Park, and I chose to stay because of the wonderful people and the exceptional, humble mentors I found here.

Outside of work, I like to think of myself as an outdoorsy person, always pushing myself to try new things. I enjoy working out, especially after a busy day, and I’m a big fan of non-contact sports like badminton and tennis—basically, anything that can be played indoors.

Fun fact: after conquering skiing last year, I’ve taken on a new challenge this year—learning how to ice skate.
