Ricardo Garcia Santiago

Biography:

I obtained an undergraduate degree with a dual major in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras and started a graduate degree in Mathematics at the same institution before leaving to co-found Wiber, an educational service mobile app company.

Led by a desire to do meaningful work that aligns with my interests, I began exploring applications of physics and AI in medicine, which led me to apply to my current position at the University at Buffalo's Medical Physics PhD Program. I am also working under Dr. Mukund Seshadri's guidance at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center's Oral Oncology Department to develop new MRI and photoacoustic imaging applications for head and neck oncology.
