Welcome to the new Native CIRCLE

Cancer Information Resource Center and Learning Exchange

Established in 1997 at the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, Native CIRCLE provided and distributed culturally appropriate health education materials for Native Americans across the country. Although the Native CIRCLE library originally focused on cancer, it grew to include Indigenous-inspired content covering a broad range of health and wellness topics, including culture, diabetes, nutrition, mindfulness, tobacco use and physical activity.

With the guidance of — and in collaboration with — the Mayo Clinic, in 2020 the Roswell Park Department of Indigenous Cancer Health became the new home for Native CIRCLE. As curators of the library, our goal is to provide an innovative platform for Native American communities, students and healthcare professionals to exchange information about Indigenous well-being and to continue to honor the tradition of Native CIRCLE.
