Mina Abdelmalek, MD

Specialty: Medical Oncology and Hematology
Department of Medicine

Biography

My name is Mina, and I am a Hematology/Oncology Fellow here at Roswell Park.

I grew up and completed medical school in Egypt before moving to Buffalo for my internal medicine residency with UB/CHS. During my time in residency, I completely fell in love with the city and its warm, welcoming community. My passion for hematology and oncology stems from personal experience, which inspired me to complete a leukemia fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center prior to starting here.

When it came time to choose where to continue my training, Roswell Park was an easy decision—it offers a strong clinical program and an exceptional training environment. I’m deeply committed to cancer care and research, and I was honored to receive the ASH Abstract Achievement Award in 2025.

Outside of work, I’m an avid soccer fan (I love both playing and watching) and my favorite way to spend my free time is with my wife and our two boys.
