Biography
My first exposure to Gynecologic Oncology was during my OBGYN clerkship in medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. I remember being in awe at how much attention was paid to ensure that each patient's holistic needs were met and was impressed by the deep degree of investment in patient care and total well-being upheld by the Gynecologic Oncologists. It was during my residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx that I realized the field of Gynecologic Oncology was the perfect fit for me, allowing for a well-balanced mix of all the things I love about medicine - outpatient continuity, acute inpatient critical care, complex surgical and procedural management, and the opportunity to form deeply humanistic relationships with our patients. Of all of these things, it is the relationships with my patients that I cherish the most.
It is an honor to have been given the opportunity to complete my Gynecologic Oncology fellowship training here at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. I am excited to be a part of a department that has shown a clear commitment to our patients' health and experience before, during, and after cancer treatment, and am looking forward to the growth that will come both personally and as a physician.
