Biography

I am an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation in Wisconsin and currently serve as the Project Manager for the Workplace Health Education Program – Lung Cancer Screening initiative within the Department of Indigenous Cancer Health (ICH) at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. In this role, I lead efforts to promote lung cancer screening and health education among Indigenous communities, with a focus on culturally responsive outreach, engagement, and program implementation.
Before stepping into this position, I worked as an independent consultant for ICH, where I supported Tribal outreach and engagement strategies. My work helped build meaningful relationships with Tribal Nations and organizations, ensuring that cancer education and screening initiatives were aligned with community values and priorities.
I also bring a strong foundation in public relations, tourism development, strategic planning, and project management through my work as the founder and principal consultant of Good Words Consulting, LLC. My career began with the Oneida Nation, where I served in public relations, media relations, and event planning. Later, as Executive Director of Native American Tourism of Wisconsin (NATOW), I collaborated with all 11 sovereign Nations in Wisconsin and extended outreach to Tribes across the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii. I led culturally appropriate marketing campaigns that elevated Tribal tourism on local, regional, national, and international platforms.
With years of experience working alongside Tribal governments and leaders, I bring a deep understanding of Indigenous community dynamics, communication strategies, and the importance of culturally grounded approaches to health and wellness. My work continues to be driven by a commitment to uplifting Indigenous voices and advancing health equity through collaborative, community-centered initiatives.
