Specializing In:
- Critical Care
Biography
I feel extremely blessed in my career at Roswell Park.
I started as a Registered Nurse in the inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant unit in the fall of 2000. I quickly acquired the taste for critical care, and within 2 years transferred to the Intensive Care Unit where I continued to serve as a Nurse for 17 years. After obtaining my Master's Degree, I transitioned to the education department as the critical care educator. This provided me with the opportunity to not only teach critical care to our Registered Nurses, but to also assist in the development of nursing competencies and nursing education that would ultimately benefit our patients; this included treatments such as continuous renal replacement therapy and prone positioning in the setting of COVID positivity.
In the fall of 2020, my role in our critical care team shifted yet again to that of an advanced practice provider (APP). I feel very privileged to be a member of such a caring and brilliant multidisciplinary team, each member of whom applies their skills and knowledge to provide optimal and efficient care for each and every patient..
Each and every day, I am honored and humbled to care for our patients, and their families during a most stressful time in their cancer journey.
