Ahmad Al-Alwan, MD

Specialty: Medical Oncology

Biography

I completed medical school in my home country of Jordan before moving to the United States to pursue internal medicine residency at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey.

Before joining the Hematology and Oncology fellowship program, I completed a fellowship in Palliative Care at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Being part of the world’s first institution dedicated solely to cancer research and a leader in immunotherapy, cellular therapy, and CAR T-cell therapy gave me a deeper appreciation for the full spectrum of cancer care. My time working closely with patients through a palliative lens inspired me to stay and continue my training in hematology and oncology.

I chose to pursue palliative care before oncology because I believe that compassionate, patient-centered care is just as important as cutting-edge treatment. My goal is to bring world-class cancer care to a community setting where I can offer patients the best of both worlds advanced therapies and genuine human connection.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time outdoors, going on road trips, playing volleyball, and fishing. Specializing In
