Chicago Blackhawks star forward and South Buffalo native Patrick Kane stopped by Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Friday, August 13, and was greeted by hundreds of fans.
Each member of the Stanley Cup-winning Chicago Blackhawks has been allotted 24 hours to share the cup with family, friends and community members. Kane chose to celebrate with the patients, visitors and staff of Roswell Park.
Kane scored the championship-clinching overtime goal in the sixth game of the 2010 NHL Finals. He met privately with pediatric and adult cancer patients at Roswell Park before being welcomed in the hospital lobby by Dr. Donald Trump, President and CEO of the Institute.
