Media Relations


The Office of Public Affairs (PA) is the liaison between the media and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. As such, the PA Office is responsible for preparing media releases, coordinating media interviews, visits, tours and news conferences, and ensuring that the integrity of the Institute is maintained and the rights to privacy of its patients, staff, volunteers and visitors are protected. Members of the PA Office respond to media requests in a timely manner, but within the policies of the Institute.

Media Inquiries


All media inquiries relating to Roswell Park Cancer Institute must be directed to the Senior Media Relations Manager (Annie Deck-Miller) or the Director of Public Affairs (Colleen Karuza) who will meet and escort the media; and identify and make available the appropriate Roswell Park spokesperson for comment or interview.

Media Visits/Interviews

On the Roswell Park campus, a designated PA representative must accompany the media at all times to ensure that the media fulfills its stated purpose and that requests for photographs, films, or videotapes are met and authorized, in accordance with Institute policy. Media representatives are prohibited from entering certain patient areas such as operating rooms; however, the PA Office, in conjunction with the Creative Services Department, will assist in providing B-roll and photographs.
