Who We Are

We are a department that consists of a team of dental oncologists, maxillofacial prosthodontists, dental oncology residents, a dental laboratory technician, a registered dental hygienist, and dental assistants.

Our Goal

The goal of this department is to deliver comprehensive dental care to patients before, during, and after a variety of cancer modalities, and other specialized oral and facial conditions.

Care During Treatment

It is important for you to get regular oral evaluations and treatments while you are receiving cancer therapy. Your dental team will work with you to ensure that your appointments are made when your blood counts are at safe levels, check for areas of existing or potential local infection (that could lead to a serious wide-spread infection), and provide antibiotics to treat or prevent infections.
