About Sylvia Alarcon

Biography:

Dr. Alarcon is a medical oncologist who specializes in gastrointestinal malignancies and sarcomas in the gastrointestinal medical oncology department at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. She received her medical degree from The Higher University of San Simon, Bolivia. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Berkshire Medical Center in Massachusetts and her Medical Oncology and Hematology fellowship at Hematology/Oncology Fellowship, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Massachusetts. Additionally she completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Translational Cancer Research at the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute in Maryland and work as Clinical Research Associate at The Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
