Spiritual Care Visitors Training Program

The Spiritual Care Visitors’ Training Program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is designed to provide men and women, ordained and non-ordained of various faith traditions with theoretical, theological and practical approaches to Spiritual Care.

This program is designed to provide men and women of various faiths with professional training in practical approaches to spiritual care. There are four components to this training program. Students attend a four-hour lecture series on Monday evenings; clinical visitation is scheduled throughout the week; small group meetings to discuss patient visitations, and each student meets with a supervising chaplain three times during the training.
