Dr. Wang is an academic physician-scientist with an active translational and clinical research program dedicated to the development of novel agents for acute leukemia. As Chief of the Clinical Leukemia Service at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, she serves as principal investigator for over 10 active and/or pending therapeutic clinical trials for patients with acute leukemia and myeloid malignancies.
She possesses over a decade of research experience in the preclinical evaluation of novel therapeutics using human leukemia patient samples, cell lines, xenografts, and mouse models. Her current laboratory research program focuses on the role of the marrow microenvironment in leukemia biology. To date, her work has been funded by the NIH, American Cancer Society, and other non-profit foundations. She has authored 89 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters involving hematological malignancies.
