Gene Targeting and Transgenic Reagents

The following plasmids and cell lines are available to investigators through the Gene Targeting and Transgenic Shared Resource at Roswell Park. To obtain these materials, a Material Transfer Agreement must be filled out, as well as a letter to the Investigator (submitted to the transgenic facility for tracking purposes).

pTKneoF

The Gene Targeting and Transgenic Shared Resource has received permission from Dr. Peter Aplan to distribute the pTKneoF gene targeting vector to interested investigators.

Before we can distribute pTKneoF we need a brief letter addressed to Dr. Aplan stating that the pTKneoF vector will be used for research purposes only. We will use your letter to track how many people are using his vector. All publications which include data derived from the use of this plasmid should acknowledge Dr. Aplan for making pTKneoF available. Our FAX number is 716-845-5908. Include your mailing address, telephone number and Federal Express account number and we will send you the plasmid. An example letter follows:

Dear Dr. Aplan,

We wish to use the pTKneoF targeting vector in our gene targeting research project. The vector will be used for research purposes only. I agree to acknowledge and thank you as the source of the plasmid.

Sincerely,

Joe or Jane P.I.

pPNT4

The Gene Targeting and Transgenic Shared Resource has received permission from Dr. Marcus Conrad to distribute the pPNT4 gene targeting vector to interested investigators.

Before we can distribute pPNT4 we need a brief letter addressed to Dr. Conrad stating that the pPNT4 vector will be used for research purposes only. Details on vector construction are in the publication: Biotechniques. 2003 Jun;34(6):1136-8, 1140

We will use your letter to track how many people are using his vector. All publications which include data derived from the use of this plasmid should acknowledge Dr. Conrad for making pPNT4 available. Our FAX number is 716-845-5908. Include your mailing address, telephone number and Federal Express account number and we will send you the plasmid. An example letter follows:
