Flow and Image Cytometry Equipment

  • A FACSAria equipped with four excitation lasers (405, 488, 561 and 640nm); capable of 20-parameter detection (18 fluorescent and scatters).
  • A FACSAria equipped with four excitation lasers (355, 405, 488, and 640nm); capable of 13-parameter detection (11 fluorescent and scatters).
  • A BDB LSRII* equipped with five lasers (355, 405, 488, 561 and 640 nm) and capable of 18-color detection plus scatter off the 488 nm laser line.
  • A BDB LSRII* equipped with four lasers ( 405, 488, 561 and 640 nm) and capable of 16-color detection plus scatter off the 488 nm laser line.
  • Three BDB LSR Fortessas* — one equipped with three lasers (405, 488, and 640 nm) and capable of 11-color detection plus scatter off the 488 nm laser line. The second and third are equipped with four lasers (355, 405, 488, and 640 nm) and capable of 18 color detection, plus scatter off the 488 nm laser line.
  • A FACSCalibur* (488 laser and 635 nm diode, 4-color detection, six parameters).
  • One FACScan and a BDB LSRI are used as breadboard cytometers, which can be configured with other lasers or detectors depending on the needs of the investigator. The FACScan is currently equipped with a 785 nm laser and an avalanche photon detector (APD) for work in the near IR (emission greater 820 nm), and the LSRI is configured with four lasers, 405 nm, 488 nm 525 nm and 785 nm and has eight fluorescent detectors (7 PMTs and 1 APD).
  • A Luminex-200 is used for multiplexed, soluble bead array (SBA) immunoassays of cytokines, chemokines and growth factors.
  • A Beckman Coulter GALLIOS* equipped with three excitation lasers (405, 488 and 635 nm). This is a 10-color, 12-parameter instrument with optional automatic sample loading.
  • Two Amnis ImageStream MK-II* are designed to acquire six (IS100) or 12 (MKII) multispectral images of individual cells at rates of up to 5,000 cells per minute. The IS100 is a single camera (six images), three laser (405, 488, 561 nm) system with EDF option. The MK-II is a two camera (12 images), five laser (405, 488, 561, 591, 640 nm), multiple magnification (20x, 40x, 60x) system with EDF and autosampler options.
  • Leica TCS SP8 Laser Scanning Spectral Confocal Microscope with real-time xy scanning, z-stack and λ scan, simultaneous multi-spectral scanning, three Acousto-Optical spectral detectors and 10X dry, 20X dry, and 63X oil immersion objectives. Illumination and Detection: four laser lines (405nm, 638nm, 488nm and 552nm), one PMT, and two hybrid (HyD) spectral detectors, Transmitted Light PMT Detector (TLD).
  • The Leica AF6000 LX* can acquire standard or confocal-like images in temperature-, humidity and C02-controlled environments. The automated image capturing with user-defined time steps and observation duration allows for time kinetic studies of intracellular distribution of fluorescent probes.
  • Zetaview small particle analyser with 488 or 405 laser excitation. This technology employs Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) which allows the determination of a size distribution profile of small particles with a diameter of approximately 10-1000 nanometers (nm) in liquid suspension. Additionally, the Zetaview is capable of measuring the so-called zeta-potential of the particles which is a measure of the electric charge on the nanoparticle surface.
