  • How do I get an account on the Roswell HPCC?

  • How do I launch a GUI (graphical user interface) driven application?
    1. Login to the Roswell HPCC OnDemand portal.
    2. In the OnDemand dashboard, click “Interactive Apps” and select either “Remote Desktop” (if you will be launching the program manually) or select a program from the list.
    3. Configure the interactive session by filling out the fields in the app form.
    4. Click the “Launch” button to submit your session request.
    5. Please be patient while resources are gathered for your session.
    6. When your session is ready you will be presented with a “Launch” button that will open the interactive program (or remote desktop) and display the associated GUI in your browser.

  • How do I open a conventional Linux command line terminal?
    1. Login to the Roswell HPCC OnDemand portal.
    2. In the OnDemand dashboard, click “Clusters” and select “Shell Access”.

  • How do I configure, submit and monitor a compute job?
    1. Login to the Roswell HPCC OnDemand portal.
    2. In the OnDemand dashboard, click “Jobs” and select “Job Composer”. This opens the Jobs tab.
    3. In the Jobs tab, click “New Job” and select “From Template”. This opens the Templates tab.
    4. In the Templates tab, browse or search through the available templates. Find a template that matches your desired activity and click “Create New Job”. The template is copied and focus is returned to the Jobs tab.
    5. In the Jobs tab, edit the job details and associated files as needed to customize the template to your needs.
    6. In the Jobs tab, click “Submit” to submit the job to the scheduler.
    7. In the Jobs tab, the Status column displays the status of the job and is periodically updated.
