Are there any discounts or scholarships available?

We do offer a limited number of scholarships to those who meet the eligibility requirements. To apply for a scholarship you must first register. After registering there is a Scholarship Form that is required to be submitted. If you are unable to secure a scholarship or other funding, you may contact us to be removed from the registration. If you have any further questions regarding scholarships, please contact Amylynn Liskiewicz at Amylynn.Liskiewicz@RoswellPark.org or 716-845-3364.

What are the prerequisites or requirements for enrolling in the workshop?

There are no minimum education level or license/certification requirements for attendance.  Workshops generally attract diverse groups of healthcare providers from multiple disciplines.

Do you offer Continuing Education Credit?

All trainees are provided with a record of attendance and a comprehensive list of learning objectives upon completion of the program. Please contact us to discuss your specific continuing education needs.

Will this program allow me to apply for the National Certificate for Tobacco Treatment Practice?

When you complete this workshop and pass the test, we will provide you with documentation that you can use to apply for the National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice (NCTTP).

What is the cancellation or refund policy?

Workshops are limited in terms of space for attendees. In addition, the meals and refreshments must be arranged ahead of time. If you experience unforeseen circumstances that prevent your attendance, please notify us immediately. If you cancel your registration at least 14 days prior to the workshop, your registration fee is refundable less a $50 processing charge. No refunds will be provided for cancellations within 14 days of the workshop date, but you have the option to attend another scheduled workshop for no additional cost.  Substitutions must be approved by the course director. The request for a registration refund must include the tax identification number of the company or institution if registration was paid by a company or institution check. We will not issue a refund if you miss all or part of the training for which you are registered, but we will offer you the opportunity to complete the training at another scheduled workshop for no additional cost.

The content of the workshop continuously builds on content presented in previous days as the training progresses. For this reason, missing part of the training will sometimes make it difficult or impossible to demonstrate adequate performance during some of the learning activities. We want you to be as successful as possible, be prepared to pass the online test after the workshop, and be prepared to pass the national test if you are interested in the national credential. Therefore, we may ask you to complete the content that you missed during an upcoming scheduled workshop if you are absent when important content areas are taught and/or practiced.

Roswell Park Cessation Services reserves the right to cancel any activities prior to the scheduled date if circumstances require (e.g., inclement weather events that are likely to prohibit travel and attendance and/or make travel unsafe). If a workshop is canceled, each registrant will be notified by telephone, email and/or the preferred communication method given on the registration form. In case of activity cancellation, we will refund the full registration fee. Upon cancellation, the liability of Roswell Park Cessation Services is limited to the registration fee.  We reserve the right to limit the number of participants in a program and are not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.
