Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center's revolutionary model of a “multidisciplinary approach” to cancer — with scientists and clinicians working in concert and in consult — has become the standard by which all modern-day comprehensive cancer centers are measured.

From its inception, Roswell Park identified cancer research as a core element of its mission. Since then, groundbreaking research by Roswell scientists has led to greater understanding of the nature of cancer and to major advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

RPCI-UPCI Ovarian Cancer SPORE

The RPCI-UPCI Ovarian Cancer SPORE brings together basic and applied investigators to conduct innovative and diverse translational investigations aimed at risk stratification, treatment of primary and recurrent ovarian cancer, and prevention of relapse in patients in remission.

Research Matters

Roswell Park has been designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a comprehensive cancer center for more than four decades. Our NCI Cancer Center Support Grant — also referred to as the NCI Core Grant — provides substantial federal funds that are vital to the research programs and scientific infrastructure that define our uniqueness and confirm our status.
