Buffalo/Niagara Witness Project

The Buffalo/Niagara Witness Project educates participants on early cancer detection through stories told by breast and cervical cancer survivors in churches and community settings.

A Survivor Speaks…
Buffalo, New York

"I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2007 at the age of 48. I found the lump myself. I was treated at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in April 2007.I talk to women about examining their own breasts every month and getting a mammogram every year. I also tell women to find out about their own family’s background and become empowered and educated about their health care and to seek out information and always ask questions."
