Parking & Transportation

Parking

Patients or families with financial need will be referred to a Social Worker or to the Financial Counselors for a financial assessment. Additional sources of assistance will be discussed with the patient to help resolve long-term needs.

Discount parking ($4.00 maximum daily charge) is available for all inpatients (or the driver of a patient) for the day of admission and the day of discharge, and for all outpatients for every clinic visit. Patients or drivers must present their parking ramp ticket and patient green card at the Information Desk in the lobby for validation at the time of registration or when leaving.

Financial assistance with mileage, tolls and parking expenses may be available through the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Information regarding these agencies is available in the Psychosocial Oncology and Care Coordination Department at RPCI or by contacting the local office of either organization.

Valet parking is available for patients and visitors, Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., at the validation or daily rate plus $1.00. Valet attendants are located at the main entrance to the hospital.

Transportation

Roswell Park does not provide transportation for patients. We link patients to resources available to assist. Erie County and The City of Buffalo provide a Senior Van service whose first priority is medical appointments. This service requires advance notice. For those with Medicaid insurance transportation costs are sometimes covered. This requires medical certification signed by the physician, and may take a few weeks to process. Please see the transportation coordinator in the Psychosocial Oncology office for more information. 716-845-1590
