Nicoleta Voian, MD, MPH, joined Roswell Park in 2011 as an Assistant Professor of Oncology and Director of the Clinical Cancer Genetics Service. Dr. Voian oversees genetic counseling and testing at RPCI. She and RPCI's genetic counselors help individuals to understand their cancer risk based on their personal and family history of cancer. They also provide patients and their health care providers with the most current information about inherited predisposition for cancer, and guidelines for cancer screening and risk reducing options.
Dr. Voian is board certified in medical genetics and preventive medicine, and is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) panel on Genetic/Familial High Risk Assessment for Breast and Ovarian Cancers. She is also a member of the Collaborative Group of the Americas on Inherited Colorectal Cancer.
She earned her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania and received her Master in Public Health from the University at Buffalo in 2009.
