Roswell Park’s patients now have a Victory Bell to ring when they finish treatment or receive good news. Unveiled during a dedication ceremony on the main floor of the hospital, the bell was generously donated by brain cancer survivor Janice Trudnowski.
Patients at many cancer centers across the country ring a bell when they finish treatment. The practice represents the restoration of harmony and balance. All patients are invited to ring Roswell Park’s Victory Bell, which is adorned with four angel warriors.
"Roswell Park is so incredibly grateful to Janice for this donation,” said Kara Eaton, Director of Patient and Family Experience. “Our cancer patients face many challenges during their treatment and the opportunity to celebrate when they receive good news will mean so much to them."
