The National Cancer Institute (NCI) estimated that more than 21,000 men and 7,000 women in the United States would be diagnosed with primary liver cancer this year. As we come to the close of 2012, Boris Kuvshinoff, MD, MBA, and Renuka Iyer, MD, both Associate Professors of Oncology and Co-Directors of RPCI’s Liver and Pancreas Tumor Center, explain the benefits of being treated for liver cancer at an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with a focus on multidisciplinary care. RPCI offers an impressive array of therapeutic approaches for the treatment of liver cancer and also offers clinical trial opportunities.
