Senior Media Relations Manager Named at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center

BUFFALO, NY – Annie Deck-Miller has been appointed Senior Media Relations Manager in the Office of Public Affairs, Department of Marketing, at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

AT Roswell Park, Ms. Deck-Miller will develop and execute a comprehensive media relations program that successfully supports the mission and goals of Roswell Park. She will drive media relations strategy, oversee Roswell Park’s media efforts, and aggressively work to cultivate new and existing relationships with media and to increase the number of high-impact national placements.

A broadly skilled communicator with excellent research and analytical skills, Ms. Deck-Miller was the Managing Editor and General Manager of the Buffalo Law Journal for five years and, prior to that, was a reporter covering the science, legal, education, marketing and arts beats for Business First of Buffalo. For over 15 years, she has enjoyed a successful freelance writing/editing career, with a regional and national client base.

Ms. Deck-Miller holds a Master of Arts degree in English from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in English from the University at Buffalo. She is a member of the Success in the City Think Tank, Vice President of the Board of Trustees at Mount St. Mary Academy, and was the 2009 recipient of the President’s Award from the Woman’s Bar Association of the State of New York, WNY Chapter.
