BUFFALO, N.Y. — Roswell Park’s Marketing/Creative Services team received two international and six national awards for excellence in video production and storytelling. They were honored for two videos that were conceptualized, written and created in-house.

One is called “First Female CEO.” It shows what led up to Candace S. Johnson, PhD, becoming the first female CEO and President of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. It also forecasts what she sees as the future of cancer care and research. The other video is called “Ribbons of Hope.” The 60-second spot kicked off a social media movement during football’s biggest night. It encouraged everyone to show their support for those affected by the disease by making a “cancer arm ribbon.”

“The synergy that occurs within the minds of our Marketing team members is something I never take for granted. The marketing strategy team works closely with the creative team in making sure every video, print piece and digital ad are designed to reach specific goals that enhance the brand of Roswell Park to the customers we serve,” says Laurel DiBrog, the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Roswell Park. “I’m always proud of my team, but it’s nice to get the national and international recognition for having a best-in-class staff that uses its creative juices to create content that resonates.”

Roswell Park’s Marketing/Creative Services Team received a Rose Gold award from the Muse Creative Awards and Gold from Hermes Creative Awards. Roswell Park’s, “Ribbons of Hope” video competed against thousands of entries from around the world for the international recognition.
