BUFFALO, N.Y. — Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park) physicians with specialized training and expertise in gynecologic oncology are now providing care to women in the Jamestown area. Drs. Peter Frederick, Kunle Odunsi and Emese Zsiros are available for appointments with new or existing patients at Jamestown Medical Oncology Hematology, a Roswell Park community cancer practice located at 21 Porter Ave., Jamestown, N.Y. 14701.

From advanced screening approaches to cutting-edge therapies such as minimally invasive surgery and cancer immunotherapy, these experts in gynecologic oncology diagnose, treat and manage all cancers of the female reproductive system. Working in collaboration with the multidisciplinary teams from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and with community physicians, they develop care plans tailored to the needs and priorities of patients with cancers of the cervix, endometrium, fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus, vagina and vulva. Where appropriate, they help patients to access specialized services such as genetic counseling, genetic testing and risk assessment.

“Cancers of the reproductive system are an incredibly diverse group of diseases, many of which are both hard to detect and challenging to treat,” notes Dr. Odunsi, who is Chair of Gynecologic Oncology at Roswell Park and Executive Director of the Institute’s Center for Immunotherapy. “We’re committed to providing care that is both evidence-based and patient-centered. Because our team focuses exclusively on gynecologic cancers, we develop expertise in their diagnosis and treatment and can offer services and options that are not available elsewhere.”
