It’s not too late to sign up for the 4th annual Tops 5K/10K Run/Family Walk Saturday, August 27th in Williamsville, NY. The registration fee for the event, which is sponsored by RPCI’s Team Cure Challenge and Tops Friendly Markets, is $20 ($10 for students). To make a donation, click the Complete This Form link on this page.
Your participation will make a difference for cancer research and patient-care programs at Roswell Park. The day will feature prizes, basket raffles, an award ceremony, music and a post-race party catered by Joe’s Deli.
You can also be an active participant in the life-saving research at RPCI by stopping by the Spit for the Cure tent at Saturday’s race. From 8am to noon, Roswell Park’s Data Bank and Biorepository (DBBR) team will be on hand at the Tops location at 6363 Main St., Williamsville, collecting saliva samples that will help researchers learn more about why some people get cancer and others don’t. Participants must be 18 years of age and cancer-free.
