Q: What changes have been made to the Paint Box Project?
A: Last year, the Paint Box Project began selling cards and merchandise online through a new partnership with locally owned Mod-Pac Corporation. In addition, we added new lines such as “Wedding” and “Showers and Flowers” that are all customizable!
Q: Why did the Paint Box Project change?
A: Roswell Park decided that with shopping trends shifting online, it would be in the Project’s best interest to partner with an online retailer. This also allows the Project to reach a much wider audience and potential new customers. In addition, Roswell Park is saving the costs associated with fulfilling orders and handling customer service.
Q: Where can I buy holiday cards?
A: The holiday cards are for sale online by visiting www.paintboxproject.com. In addition, this year select new designs will also be available in the Roswell Park Gift Shop in the hospital lobby and at our partner’s retail store Krepe-Kraft located at 1755 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, beginning in October 2012. Holiday merchandise is only available online.
Q: Is there a way to pick up items ordered online?
A: Yes! New this year, you will be able to pick up online orders for free at our partner’s retail store Krepe-Kraft located at 1755 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, across the street from FWS.
Q: What merchandise is available?
A: Paint Box merchandise includes napkins, mugs, wine glasses, gift bags and candle holders and is only available online by visiting www.paintboxproject.com.
Q: Are there still art parties?
A: There are 3-4 art parties per year that are now run by Arts in Healthcare—an initiative established by UB Center for the Arts to bring professional artists to work with our patients and their families.
Q: Can I volunteer for an art party?
A: Art parties are staffed by members of Arts in Healthcare. Due to healthcare privacy regulations, volunteer opportunities are very limited.
Q: Can I donate art supplies to The Paint Box Project?
A: Yes. However, since the art parties are run by Arts in Healthcare, please contact them at 645-0891 to make a donation of art supplies.
