We are recruiting our inaugural PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership resident. This specialty residency training program at Roswell Park is a 12-month structured post-graduate program designed to provide practical experience in pharmacy leadership.

The residency builds upon the clinical and operational competence in the delivery of patient-centered care, acquired from completing a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency.

Purpose statement

The purpose of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) program is to develop pharmacists to have the essential skills and experiences to assume progressive leadership positions in hospitals and integrated health-system enterprises.

Our program focuses on developing competence in the areas of:

  • safe and effective medication-use systems
  • human resources management
  • evaluation of financial performance
  • use of technology
  • advanced pharmacy practice leadership

Graduates of the program will be prepared for both clinical and operational roles in management and other high-level pharmacy leadership positions.
